I was born in New York, moved to Florida when I was 6. At that time I became a student of Polk County Public Schools from second grade until graduating from George Jenkins High School in 1999. I have been employed by the Polk County School Board since 2001. I served two terms as Executive Vice President of AFSCME Local 2227, the Union that represents bus drivers/attendants, school nutrition assistants, custodial staff, and maintenance/warehouse employees of the Polk County School System. Early on I was asked to be the membership chair.
I have lived in Mulberry since 2011. In 2018 I joined in membership with First Baptist Church of Mulberry. I am a student of John C. Maxwell, who has written many books on team building and leadership. I advocate for supporting local small businesses as they are the life blood of any community. In recent months I have been getting involved with community events. I would like to thank the voters of Mulberry who trusted me with their vote of confidence on April 5th.
As a commissioner, I would like to get to know you so give me a call at 863-354-0759 to plan a cup of coffee at Stone Cabin Coffee & Cheesecake Company which is located at the Mulberry Public Library.
