Collins Smith

Commissioner Collins Smith was elected to Seat #5 in 2001 and has served the City Commission unopposed. He has also served as the Vice Mayor since 2006. The Vice-Mayor presides in the Mayor’s absence. A Mulberry native, Collins Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. He retired from the Polk County School Board in 2003. Collins “Coach” Smith is the Commission liaison to the Transportation Planning Organization (TPO), the Mulberry Kiwanis and several other Boards. Collins and his wife Ellestine, have four children and ten grandchildren.
